04:49 pm - Update I had a fun Saturday in Ottawa attending Uncle Tom's annual Robert Burns party. Flew on Porter airline for the first time. They rival Westjet for friendliness. Also beer and wine are free. Tom picked me up at the airport and we joined Helen at the Byward market to pick up party supplies. The selection of deli meats, cheeses, pate'and butcher items is amazing by Hfx standards. We even got fresh Haggis, what a treat ! The party went until midnight with large quantities of Scotch, wine and port being consumed by the 12-14 guests. I took Helen & Tom to breakfast on the way back to the airport and got home not long after your mother arrived from her oil painting class. We have had rain and +0 temps for 2 days so we now have little snow on the lawn. Some side roads are still a bit icy.

10:49 pm We got home with only a short delay at the Dulles Airport. Not like our long arduous journey to get to San Juan. We had a really great time. I loved the cruise especially the different island views each morning when we woke up. The gentle rocking of the boat helped me sleep. Yes me. I slept quite well considering. I still feel the rocking motion now and then when I least expect it. I notice it mostly in small places like public washrooms - the last place you want to be banging into walls. We will try and call on the weekend.

02:31 pm - Greetings from St Lucia We are half way through our cruise having been to San Juan, St Thomas, Dominica and Barbados. The ship has just set sail from St Lucia to Antigua. We snorkelled today and will do it again tomorrow ( along with the customary rum punch party after all are out of the water). It was not an easy get to. Because of the snow/ice storms there were no planes into Hfx from Boston/NY. So we drove to Moncton, overnighted in Montreal and went to Miami...San Juan on Sat just in time to catch the boat. One of our friends joined the next day in St Thomas. One advisor spent 3 nights in Moncton and joined the boat yesterday in Barbados !
